The Legacy Untold encourages their travelers to partake in hands-on conservation work that directly contributes to the preservation of endangered species. While lazing along several of the most gorgeous beaches in the world across several continents, you can join a dedicated team of marine conservationists in revealing sea turtle nests and helping the tiny hatchlings make their way into the ocean. A single nest can hold up to 150 eggs but only 1 in 1000 hatchlings will ever make it to sexual maturity, as it takes roughly 20 years before a sea turtle can start reproducing. With increasing impacts from plastic pollution, beach erosion due to rising sea levels and storms, and poaching of eggs and adult turtles for food, sea turtle conservation is more important than ever. Come help us!
The Legacy Untold can also arrange for you to restore a coral reef with a marine biologist.
