AUSTRALIA WITH THE LEGACY UNTOLD

Australia is cinematically diverse, with stunning landscapes including deserts, tropical rainforests, mountain ranges, the largest reef in the world (stretching the distance of Canada to Mexico), and over 16,000 MILES! of coastline. This treasure trove of natural beauty also means Australia is massive – almost the size of the United States. Australia’s wildlife is a unique highlight largely because of its isolation… kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devils, wombats, and wallabies have evolved in isolation making them some of the most fascinating animals in the world to sit beside and observe. The food down under is some of the most delicious in the world, where it’s easy to find organic and healthy fruits, vegetables, and grass fed pasture raised meats. Beyond all of these incredible natural gifts that make Australia so special, however, it’s Australians themselves who are perhaps the greatest highlight of all… kind, funny, engaging, cheeky, and they love to make lighthearted fun of one another at every turn. The ancestors of Aboriginal Australians began arriving from south east Asia approximately 65,000 years ago, during the last ice age. To spend time with them and honor them and their traditions can be at once fascinating, moving, and a lot of fun. What are you waiting for? Come join us down under.

PLANNING YOUR TRIP

WHEN TO GO

Australia is a year round destination, but the country is huge and the ideal time to visit varies to a great degree depending on the region. Summer in Australia (December to February) is an ideal time to visit the country’s beautiful beaches, and for hiking and exploring Australia’s southern regions. Winter (June – August) is a good time to visit the interior, which is brutally hot during the summer months. Spring (September – November) is considered one of the best times to visit – it’s a good time to see whales migrating in the west and a great time to visit the Great Barrier Reef. In Autumn (March to May) the rainforests are lush and it’s harvest time at the vineyards. We can help you choose the best time to go based on your interests or guide you in choosing where to go within Australia if you have timing in mind.

GETTING THERE

There are direct flights to some of Australia’s major cities from the west coast of the United States. For example Los Angeles to Sydney is a 15-hour direct flight.
