INDONESIA WITH THE LEGACY UNTOLD

With over 17,000 islands, it would take a lifetime to explore the wonders of Indonesia. Ancient temples, bustling cities, lush jungles, and some of the world’s best beaches make this sprawling Asian archipelago a rich paradise. While Bali’s surfing beaches are world-famous, the country has much more to offer curious travelers, from the street markets of Yogyakarta and the ancient temples of Borobudur to once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experiences. Trek through the untamed jungles of Sumatra to see orangutans in their natural habitat, see Komodo dragons on a cruise through the Komodo Islands aboard a superyacht, witness the wild horses of Sumba, or dive and explore the pristine reefs and extraordinary biodiversity of Raja Ampat. People come to Indonesia for the unparalleled natural splendor, but they fall in love with the people, the food, the history, and the culture.

PLANNING YOUR TRIP

Indonesia is an incredibly huge and diverse country that stretches over 5,000 kilometers between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. To see it all in one trip is impossible and it can be tricky to travel between the more remote islands. To maximize your time in Indonesia, pick two or three islands that offer a range of cultural and natural attractions.

WHEN TO GO

While it’s possible to visit year-round, you’ll have the best weather in Sumatra, Java, Bali, Papua, and Lombok during the dry season between April and October. In Sulawesi, the island is divided by two monsoon seasons with the rainy season in the north from May to September and the rainy season in the south from October to March.
